Interview with Dr. Joe Vitale

I’ve got an exciting treat for you today - an interview with author and self-help guru Dr. Joe Vitale. Dr. Joe Vitale is the author of dozens of books like Hypnotic Writing, Zero Limits and his bestselling book The Attractor Factor. His newest book which just arrived in my mailbox this morning is titled The Key: The Missing Secret for Attracting Anything You Want. He has also starred in the movie The Secret, the upcoming movie The Opus, and was interviewed twice by Larry King on CNN.

What I love about Dr. Joe Vitale’s story is that he was once homeless, unhappy and struggling and by making internal shifts within himself, he was able to accomplish something great. By changing his beliefs and starting to work on himself he has been able to accomplish the very thing I am inspired to teach my readers - he has become an Inspired Money Maker who makes money doing what he LOVES.

If you are familiar with his blog ( http://blog.mrfire.com/ ), you may know that one of Dr. Joe Vitale’s passions are rare exotic luxury sports cars, and using the very process he teaches in The Attractor Factor he has been able to attract cars like his 2005 Panoz Esperante GTLM seen in this photo, which he named “Francine”. He has also just recently purchased a rare 1998 Panoz AIV Roadster formerly owned by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Francine

As I mentioned earlier, his latest book ( The Key: The Missing Secret for Attracting Anything You Want ) just arrived in my mailbox this morning. I ordered it on Amazon as soon as I heard about it as I really enjoyed his other books. I have only been able to read through to page 43 so far as I wanted to pause and get this interview up on the site, but I’ll be jumping back into it right after this. So far I really like it. :)

Today, Dr. Vitale was kind enough to set some time aside to answer some questions I asked him for my InspiredMoneyMaker.com blog. Here are the interview questions:

Paul Piotrowski: Dr. Vitale, what do you believe was the source of your Inspiration which led you to your current success?

Dr. Joe Vitale: Passion. I always follow what I’m keenly interested in, even when I don’t know where it will lead. Inspiration leads the way.

Paul Piotrowski: Was there a specific day or event that triggered your commitment towards following your passion in life, or was it a gradual process?

Dr. Joe Vitale: I remember deciding when I was around 16 years old to be an author. I loved books and felt that was my destiny.

Paul Piotrowski: What was the first product, service or offering that you would say “launched” you into the realm of making money doing what you love?

Dr. Joe Vitale: I wrote a book called “Zen and the Art of Writing.” It was based on my passion, my interests, and became my first published book in 1984.

Paul Piotrowski: How was that idea for this product different from any others you had previously considered? and what made you follow this one specifically?

Dr. Joe Vitale: I followed what I was fascinated with: ways to increase creativity. I felt it would be a good book and maybe different from others out there at the time. But I wrote it mainly because I wanted to.

Paul Piotrowski: Were you surprised with the succes or lack of success of your first offering?

Dr. Joe Vitale: Yes. It was a success to be published, finally, but it was a disappointment to learn publishers don’t know marketing. So that propelled me into a passion to learn marketing. That of course led to me being known as a marketer worldwide. So even the disappointment became a passion.

Paul Piotrowski: What did you do next?

Dr. Joe Vitale: Wrote more books, spoke to people and sold books in the back of the room, etc. I did everything I could think of to keep growing, writing, succeeding, evolving.

Paul Piotrowski: For all my readers out there who currently make money doing something they don’t love, what advice would you give to help them bridge the gap between “earning a living” and “making money doing what they love?”

Dr. Joe Vitale: You have to find the match between your love and what the public wants to buy. There’s always a way. When I wrote the book on Bruce Barton, it was a passion of mine but I knew few would buy something about an unknown genius. So I titled the book in a way to make people want it: “The Seven Lost Secrets of Success.”

Paul Piotrowski: What products or services of yours would you recommend specifically for my audience of Inspired Money Makers “in training?”

Dr. Joe Vitale: I’d urge them to look into http://www.miraclescoaching.com/ and http://www.joevitalementoring.com/ .

Paul Piotrowski: What’s next for you on your journey? What can we look forward to next from your work?

Dr. Joe Vitale: I have numerous books coming out, a new audioprogram, my own television show, and more. I write about all of it on my blog over at http://blog.mrfire.com/ .

Paul Piotrowski: Thanks Dr. Vitale, and congrats on the Panoz AIV Roadster. Does she get a name too?

Dr. Joe Vitale: I named her “Ladybug”.

Wow, I just love this guy. You pretty much don’t have to go past the first word in the interview to get his “secret” to becoming an Inspired Money Maker - “Passion.” It all starts with that.

I hope you guys enjoyed the interview. If so, help me out with some link love, perhaps some bookmarks, or simply by leaving a comment.

Thanks!

Paul Piotrowski

Great interview Paul. I was wondering if he was related to Dickie V from the Basketball arena. Yeah BABY……….. it’s all about passion. Passion is when you’re subconcious recognizes something from source that brought you here in the first place. Without passion life is not worth living. Living a passionless life is simply waiting to die. Yet living a passion filled life is like going to disneyland everyday with new rides all the time (and no lines)

Download Paul’s E-book and get excited over something. Life is short. Do it NOW.

    Thanks again Paul.
