Reflections on a Sunny Day
I’m sitting on my porch as I write this. It’s a beautiful day today. The sun is shining, and as I watch the tall trees sway back and forth with the gentle breeze I can hear the chirping sound of birds in the distance. A stellar jay sits in her nest about ten feet away, protecting her newly hatched babies.
It is days like this that I am reminded just how much I’ve been able to create on my Inspired Money Maker path and I am filled with a sense of gratitude and contentment in knowing that all the hard work and perseverance have been worth it.
What’s even more important is the feeling of knowing that nothing was handed to me; everything was earned through a process of intense personal development and sweat equity. I can’t believe that just nine years ago I was on the verge of bankruptcy, living in a cruddy one-bedroom apartment, scared but determined to do something with my life.
I once heard someone say that most people overestimate how much can be accomplished in a year, but completely underestimate how much can be accomplished in a decade. Now, almost ten years later, I finally know what they mean.
Every though you have, every decision you make, every action you take leads you in a certain direction. Where will that direction take you in ten years? The direction I started heading in less than ten years ago took me from a one-bedroom apartment with barely enough room for my wife and I to move without bumping into each-other to a beautiful five-acre estate surrounded by hundred foot trees older than me, birds I’ve never seen before and butterflies floating around from flower to flower.
As you venture down the path of learning how to make money doing what you love, remember to plan things long term. Things might not work out for you right away, this week or this month, but if you continue to persevere, everything you ever dreamed of will eventually fall into place.
Don’t just sit around waiting for things to fall into your lap, but as you do make the effort to become an Inspired Money Maker, always remember that you will have to have the patience to allow your efforts to compound over time. Regardless of how long it takes, imagine finally being in a place where you never have to do something just because it pays the rent.
Can you imagine waking up every morning, knowing that you get to “play” and do what you love with your life, secure in the comfort of knowing that financial abundance doesn’t have to come with a price tag of working at some mind-numbing job you hate doing but only put up with because it pays your bills? If a near-bankrupt, “uneducated” ( I chose to skip college/university ) immigrant with a wild dream like me can do it, so can you!
I decided to test out my Canon SLR on this beautiful day by taking some pictures from my back yard. Maybe some of you currently living in the same kind of one-bedroom apartment I used to dread living in might find these inspirational.

Beautiful Pics Paul,
Very inspiring. A little over a year ago I was in a “one bedroom” chondo. 550 sq. ft. It was the smallest living space I had been in next to being a sailor on the USS Lang. But it was on the beach and every day I woke up I felt tremendously blessed. At night I could hear the waves hitting the sand. Then things started looking up and I got a home up in the Monterey Hills overlooking the entire Monterey Bay and the chondo units I use to live in. It’s quite a beautiful living environment. I am very grateful for everything.
Thank you for the inspiration and reminder to be always grateful.
@Ace Andres: The pictures don’t do justice to what kind of day it was yesterday, and I didn’t have the camera beside me when three hummingbirds flew by while I was typing the post and hovered around me for a few minutes while looking for their feeder. It was crazy; they are such neat little birds. The sound they make is like a giant bumble-bee or something and they most so fast in any direction.
I wish I had my camera when they visited me.
One of the guys on “the Secret” said “You will never have anything new in your life until you are grateful for what you already have.” I just love that saying.
Funny,
I’ve been marinading or stewing in the words “Burning Desire backed by Faith knows No such word as impossible.”It’s better than any hot tub I’ve ever soaked in.
BELIEVE IT !
Nice Post but if your gonna link to bigger images atleast make them 1024×768 cuz linking them to small images is useless. Cheers.
Bart
@Bart Piotrowski: Yeah, I changed my mind on the size midstream. I know what you mean though. I’ll do that next time.
