Traffic Secrets 2.0 Review
John Reese’s Traffic Secrets 2.0 course finally arrived at my doorstep today. I was super excited. Fedex dropped it off and I ripped into the box right away to see what kind of goodies were inside. I love getting courses delivered in physical format like that. It makes me feel like a little kid at Christmas or something.
Anyways, I ripped open the packaging and all my wife heard for the next 5 minutes was “woooo….nice” and “ahhh…very nice….woo I like this” and “holy smokes, look how thick this is!”
You know, before you really dive into a product like this the best indicator of quality is the thickness of the textbook, the pretty colors stamped on the CD’s and all the cool workbook type sheets and stuff you get to fill out. Honestly, my first impression of the course was that it totally reminded me of the quality of stuff that Anthony Robbins puts out for his home study multimedia products. It’s that good.
I could tell that John Reese definitely wanted to not only deliver a course that had good content, but also to present it in a way that looks professional physically so that people would value it and actually go through the content.
Here’s a couple of pictures of what’s inside.

There are 12 CD’s that come with the course which is what you see on the left hand side. They are double stacked there. On the right it also came with 2 bonus discs (Mass Control Syndicate). Above you can see the blueprint checklist sheets, the super thick (373 Page) Training Guide and the Workbook.
The Review
Alright, now that you’ve seen what you get, let me get on with my frist impressions and the review of the course. First of all, I will probably have to do a follow up review in a few months after I’ve gone through all this stuff and I’ve had a chance to really see the power of what’s taught inside. For now, I can only report based on my initial impressions after playing with this thing for a few hours.
Firstly, let me say what I don’t like about this thing. This is a minor thing, and it really has nothing to do with the course itself, and I know that John Reese tried to make the packaging as professional as possible, but I have to say that I absolutely hate the stupid CD Holder thingies. It looks pretty, but the CD’s that are being held in place by the plastic thingies in the middle are like impossible to get out. You yank and pull on the CD and it doesn’t want to pop out. Maybe I’m just handicapped or something, but the only way I could get mine to pop out is to push down in the middle of the white plastic thingies and then the CD’s popped out, BUT now the plastic thing is pushed in a bit and the CD doesn’t want to stay in place anymore.
Solution - This is what I typically do anyways. I’m copying all the files off the CD’s onto my hard drive and watching everything from there and then popping the CD’s back into the box for storage. I hate swapping CD’s back and forth anyways, so I prefer to copy them onto my computer anyways. This way I can also make a copy onto my laptop so I have the course with me wherever I go.
Ok, now let’s forget the stupid CD holders. Let’s move onto the content itself.
I popped in the first CD and I really like the quality of the video’s being played. They are very much like the video’s John Reese put out on his sales page for the course. Super good quality and they look professional. The first CD just goes over the very basic things and the core principles discussed in the course. You start off with just getting familiar with things and getting signed up for the online community.
I really like how the course + the online community intergrate together. It’s like you’ve got this home study course but you’re also plugged into John and all the other members as well so you can share ideas and help each other etc.
The second CD, which is really the start of your lessons is as far as I got. It goes into Market Research and Discovery. John goes through everything step by step showing you exactly what to do at every turn. I have to say that there is definitely a LOT of content here. Holy smokes. I have no idea how he even tackled a project of this size like that. From skimming through the text and looking at the CD’s and the blueprint tracking sheets, it seems like this course covers everything to do with Traffic.
There’s enough content here to keep a person busy for a long time. It totally reminds me of a Tony Robbins course. They are usually very detailed and full of content. Anyone’s who’s ever seen an Anthony Robbins course or seminar will know just how much “stuff” he packs into his products. It seems like John Reese did the same thing with this course.
Content Level
Now, one of the questions that I originally had when trying to decide whether to order this course or not was the level of content that would be delivered. Meaning, is this course for Internet beginners or for people who are a bit more savvy with technology?
From what I can see by reading through some to the content and listening to the first few CD’s is that this is not meant as a totally in-depth course on any one specific aspect of building traffic. For example, you’re not going to find 14 hours of content on how to use StumbleUpon to drive traffic to your Blog. You’ll find 2 pages of text on StumbleUpon and a demonstration on how to best use it.
A lot of the content is summarized and only the “need to know” stuff has been extracted to give you a working knowledge of all the different subjects involved. Think of it like getting a Bachelors Degree in Internet Traffic. By the end of this course you’ll know a whole crapload of effective traffic building strategies which you can apply to any number of websites, utilizing the right strategy in the right circumstances and at the right time, however you will not be a “Guru” at any one of these traffic building strategies.
Becoming a “Guru” at any one strategy, I believe will come through the interaction in the community forums, and through your own research, testing etc. I don’t think anyone could ever put together a course that goes in-depth on everything covered in this course…it would be insanely long.
I think the best way to use this content is to learn it, apply what’s taught within, and then test to see what works. Once you find what works for your specific needs, you can then spend more time on mastering that aspect of Traffic Building. For example, lets say that after applying all that’s taught within I find that Video marketing and StumbleUpon seem to be getting me the best response. I could then look for more resources to become more of a Guru on those two topics, either through the community forums or through other courses or my own research.
So to summarize, I would classify this content as something that takes a complete Beginner in each topic to the Intermediate level. You’ll know enough to apply all kinds of traffic generation techniques and then measure and test to see what works. Once you know what works, you can expand on that and dive more in depth into each topic.
Is It Worth It
Ok, so is the course worth it? Will I keep it or am I calling Fedex tomorrow to take it back?
I can definitely say that the course is worth every penny. In fact, I’m kind of surprised how inexpensive it is. It makes me wonder if John’s got something up his sleeve or something. Why is he giving all this away for so cheap? For anyone who has no prior experience with traffic building techniques, this course is an absolute no brainer. Once you take this course people will think you’re an Internet wizz kid as you’ll probably know more about building traffic than 99% of the people on the Internet.
For anyone who is already a “Guru” in any one traffic building area on the Internet, that particular section of this course will probably seem too beginner for you, but just because you’re an expert in a few areas doesn’t mean you know everything about everything. There is a lot of value here even for experts.
The fact that when you pay for this course once, you get access to all the new versions of the course for life also makes it a no brainer.
Anyways, I’m not going to crow about it any further. If you need to learn how to drive traffic to your site go and buy a copy today here: Traffic Secrets 2.0
If you’re already a traffic expert in every field, or have no use for traffic, don’t worry about it.

Hey Paul, Nice Stumble Graphic! I like
Man I’ve been having dreams about the JR’s new course, and I know that a lot of people are making a killing just promoting it. Great review, and what a stellar package you get! You’re absolutely right, I have no idea how he’s getting away with selling it for the price that he is.
I might be able to convince the wife to go for this strictly based on the pictures you posted, lol.
I’m really looking forward to your comments, and progress throughout the next little while.
@Elijah: You won’t be disappointed.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about the course let me know. I’d be glad to answer.
Hey Paul,
I’m really interested to see how this course works for you over the long haul. Please keep us posted on your progress!

I too ordered this course and have learned a LOT from it. I think John speaks so clearly in these videos and is so easy to follow, unlike some of the other courses I have gotten in the past. I am VERY pleased with it!
I think it is great that you have the videos and then this MAMMOTH manual that goes through the exact things he covers in the videos because some people like to read more and retain more this way than with video.
I definitely recommend it!
