Best Time Management Practices for Polymaths

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on the best time management practices for polymaths?

What systems / practices have you found to work for multi-talented individuals?

To get focused ask yourself: Do I want to do this?

I'm thinking more along the lines of running many things in parallel.

For example having 5 Blogs running simultaneously and enjoying/wanting to write for all of them. How to setup time management for something like that, along with multiple other projects.

I have my own ideas and systems I learned over the years, but just wondering what everyone else is using.

For additional refinement ask yourself: What do I want to do now?

There are many ways to schedule and prioritise. All useful. Use the one that suits you.

    Multi-tasking KILLS productivity.

What I do is follow the method of Eben Pagan. He recommends CHUNKING your time into 50 minute spurts. For that 50 mins, JUST focus on ONE thing ONLY.
I just set my timer and get to work. After your 50 mins, take the next 10 mins chilling out... cuz you should have spent a good deal of energy in the 50 mins.

As for managing your 5 sites, do ONE site a day. keep it simple. right? The simpler your list is the more likely everything will get done within your time frame.

    Management tools I use:
    - Spiral Notebook & pen
    - Whiteboard
    - Calendar

** I've tried a few online planners and google calendar, but there is SOMETHING about writing it down on paper that JUST makes sense. **

When I chunk, I TRY to do the same thing for that chunk of time... for example, Im writing posts and content for like 2 hours already (today), it covers 3 different niche sites. Tomorrow, I'll upload them to each of the three.
If its graphics, I try and plan out to knock a bunch of them. I get into gear and just crunch it out. Switching from one task to the next, IS HARD. Your mind tends to wander between transitions.

PS> I dunno if that was the answer you were looking for Paul?

The important point is that time management is not necessarily about getting lots of stuff done, because much more important than that is making sure that you are working on the right things, the things that truly need to be done.

The best and foremost thing is the concentration and focus on your self and work.So the concentration is the myth in polymath.
