Hosting
If you’re planning on making money by Blogging, you’re going to need a place to host your Blog. Hosting your Blog for free on Blogger or Wordpress.com is fine if you’re just blogging for fun, but if you’re really serious about making money with your Blog, you’re going to need the flexibility of having your own domain, installing your own plugins etc.
I have tried many Hosting partners and after jumping around and testing different ones that left me completely frustrated, I tried Hostgator. Monetization Tools

If you want to learn how to properly use Google AdSense to make money on your Blog, you’ll get a lot of value from Joel’s new book Google Adsense Secrets 4.0. I tested out Joel’s new book and reported my findings in these two articles: Make Money Blogging and AdSense is Alive!.
Kontera is a plugin that you install in your Wordpress which automatically creates contextually relevant keyword links on your Blog which point to relevant ads from their advertiser network. It basically goes through and finds specific keywords which relate to an advertiser they have, and when your readers click on the links you get paid on a Pay-Per-Click basis.
