The Attractor Factor

Yesterday I picked up a book by Joe Vitale called “The Attractor Factor”. It was one of those books that I was walking by at the bookstore and it just totally jumped out at me. Prior to picking up this book, I also picked up the book “The Secret” which is the book version of the movie “The Secret”. I was on my way to the checkout stand when “The Attractor Factor” jumped out at me and I picked it up as I walked to the checkout lineup. I had no idea that Joe Vitale had anything to do with “The Secret” when I picked it up but after skimming the contents of it in the lineup for a few minutes I flipped the book over and saw a picture of Joe and immediately I recognized him from the movie. Nice little synchronistic event to start the day.

I started reading the book and couldn’t put it down. In fact, I finished reading it yesterday which is always a good indicator with me that this is a good book. If I can’t put it down until it’s done, it not only means the content is good but it also means it’s written in a style that’s entertaining enough to keep my attention on it for hours.
What caught my attention right off the bat is the preface in the book which starts out as:
“I admit it.
I never wanted to publish this book or make it available to a wide audience.
I was scared.
I wrote this book for one person: my sister.”

Right off the bat there was a connection for me because I know exactly what Joe is talking about when he says “I was scared”. It’s not easy admitting publicly that you believe in “spiritual stuff” if you can call it that. There is a lot of fear of ridicule, embarrassment and judgment by others. Prior to writing this book, Joe has written 17 books, some of which were for conservative organizations like the American Marketing Association and the American Management Association. Even though you might be using ”The Law of Attraction” to produce results for your clients, it doesn’t mean they have to know that’s what you’re doing. It’s frightening to finally come out and admit that this is one of the tools you’ve been using all along when your clients might have a completely closed minded attitude towards such things.
Although the “Law of Attraction” is not something new to me since I’ve studied books like “The Science of Getting Rich” and “Ask and It is Given” as well as watching “The Secret” and have used these technologies in my life for years now, there was still a lot of little details that I found exciting and inspiring in this book.
Joe gives lots of example stories from his life experiences on how he tried to use the Law of Attraction to achieve certain things and to get certain things like his BMW Z5. He talks about how he tried entering contests to win the BMW of his dreams and how that didn’t work and what he did to finally get the car. He even mentions his experiences of trying to use the lottery to win money using ”The Attractor Factor” and what he learned from that.
For me, the book was like a roadmap given to me by someone who’s a few steps ahead of me which will hopefully help me avoid some of the pitfalls Joe had to go through. This is not a book filled with a picture of a perfect life after Joe discovered the “Law of Attraction” (he calls it “The Attractor Factor”), but instead a series of examples and stories from Joe’s life detailing some of the things that have worked for him and some of the things he got stuck on, and how he resolved them.
Joe details his own version of “The Secret” formula which includes 5 steps and calls it “The Attractor Factor”. I would recommend this book to early practitioners of the Law of Attraction / Intention Manifestation / The Secret. You can find the book at Amazon here, and you can find Joe’s main website at: www.MrFire.com .
